Speakers

Rev. Sarah Heath and Gail Martin will serve as keynote speakers for Pilgrimage 2022.

Rev. Sarah Heath

Reverend Sarah Heath is an ordained United Methodist clergywoman. If that isn’t unusual enough, she is also an actress, an author, a dancer, a designer, a podcaster, a self-proclaimed nerd, and a dog mom.

Originally from Canada, Sarah attended the University of Southern Mississippi where she received her B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Biology. Hearing the call to ministry, Sarah then attended Duke Divinity School where she earned her Master of Divinity degree in 2005.

Sarah currently serves as a church consultant and one on one life coach helping each through transitions in faith and in life. She is the host and creator of the podcasts “Making Spaces” and “Sonderlust”, and the author of two books — What’s Your Story? and The Authenticity Challenge. She is a featured pastor on Buzzfeed, a spokesperson for World Vision Canada, and restores furniture like nobody’s business. You can follow her interior design tips on Pinterest and Instagram.

Sarah’s work challenges people to tell their story, invite everyone to the table, find restoration instead of demolition, and connect the spiritual with the ordinary.

Gail Martin

Gail Martin currently works at Belmont University with a heart to catalyze and empower the next generation of student leaders through impactful mentorship. She graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a BA focused in Communication and Media Studies and for over four years, has served in higher education and college ministry through conference speaking, mentoring, writing curriculum, and hosting leadership retreats.

She believes that there is a deep heart cry in our world today for belonging. That there are hearts searching for identity and purpose but don’t know where to turn. And she believes that it’s during this hour, where God is opening a door of opportunity for revival. And it’s when we step through that door, taking the love of Christ to those around us, where we will see hearts healed, lives changed, and unity come about.

Gail’s focus for the future is rooted in inspiring, equipping, and helping others discover their full potential. You can find Gail frequenting coffee shops, hosting a dinner party with her friends, or going for a daily 8 mile run.
