Policies

Pilgrimage and NC Conference of The United Methodist Church uphold the below policies as they apply to users, attendees, vendors and participants. If you have any questions, reach out.

Definitions

“Pilgrimage” is defined as the organization responsible for the annual Pilgrimage youth event of NC Conference of The United Methodist Church (“The Conference”).

A “User” is defined as a person that visits a Pilgrimage web property. A Pilgrimage web property is a website attached to any domain or sub-domain related to nccumc.org, nccpilgrimage.org or nccpilgrimage.org/2021. A User can also be a person that has provided their contact information to Pilgrimage or The Conference explicitly or implicitly via form submission, application for participation, registration or other.

An “Attendee” is any youth or adult leader that has/will register for the Pilgrimage 2021 event (“Event”) taking place November 12-14, 2021. An Attendee is also defined by a youth that has been or will be registered for the Event by an adult leader. Further, any person that attends the Event is considered an Attendee, despite their registration status.

A “Vendor” is a type of User and/or Attendee that submits a request and is accepted or denied the ability to feature a product, service, event or other at the Event.

A “Participant” is a type of User and/or Attendee that submits an application and is accepted to participate as a leader at the Event. A Participant is further defined as any Attendee that has been or will be featured in any established or scripted programming of the Event. Any Attendee that makes an effort — whether or not invited by an official of Pilgrimage or The Conference — is established as a Participant if they elect to feature themselves in any established or scripted programming. A Participant is also inclusive of any Attendee that elects to participate in the House Band, to share their story, to share the creative arts, to read scripture in an alternate language or participate in a countdown.
